A New Hope Review

“Episode IV: A New Hope” is the first film in the star wars series and in the original trilogy and the one that truly started all of the hype and made star wars what it is today. It started off with the title crawl and the amazing score by john Williams and jumped quickly into action, jarring the audience. Luke was a bit whiny in this one but it kept it’s audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish with action scene after action scene all of which were masterfully polished and set up. Another great thing about this movie is that it doesn’t shy away from character development. It doesn’t do to much work but it does show you a lot about characters rather than just telling you and this ability to treat their audience like adults and not spoon feed them all the information is what led to this being such a popular film.
